Tiassalé - Vector control

Established in 2011, the Tiassalé medical entomology station contributes to the assessment of malaria vector-control tools.

Objectives of the GLP approach

The framework described aims to ensure the quality and international recognition of data generated when evaluating vector-control tools: in the laboratory for Phase 1, in experimental huts for Phase 2 and in community settings for Phase 3.

  • Ensure partner satisfaction through the quality of study results.
  • Ensure data reliability and confidentiality.
  • Secure international recognition of expertise through accreditation.

Facilities and services

  • Phase 1 non-clinical laboratory studies.
  • Phase 2 non-clinical studies in experimental huts.

Research and local engagement

The page documents the involvement of local communities in studies and site operations, together with awareness activities on mosquito-net use, hygiene and sanitation. It also mentions support for rice production through water pumps and agricultural equipment.

  • It also lists five scientific publications, notably on insecticide resistance in Anopheles gambiae.
