The site is presented as a tool for rigorous demographic and health data collection, intended to monitor populations and support the evaluation of health interventions.

Four institutions are cited as having built the Taabo HDSS: CSRS, Universite Felix Houphouet-Boigny, Swiss TPH and the NGO Fairmed.

Objectives and scientific opportunities

The Taabo HDSS is presented as a platform for evaluating interventions and strengthening health systems, with the goal of reducing mortality and morbidity, particularly for malaria and neglected tropical diseases.
